May 29, 1863: CSS Alabama Captures the Jabez Snow
MAY 29TH, 1863: The CSS Alabama, Captain Semmes, captured and burned the Jabez Snow in the South Atlantic, bound from Cardiff to Montevideo, Uruguay, with cargo of coal.
